Millicent Lee Kaufman, the president and owner of K L Travel, Inc. in Scarsdale, New York, has over twenty-five years experience in the travel industry.  An astute businesswoman, Ms. Kaufman is strongly committed to the excellence and superior quality service provided to all clients since K L Travel's inception in 1990.

Ms. Kaufman brings her own unique perspective to her business.  With an educational background emphasizing history, geography and its interrelated socio-economic and political aspects, Ms. Kaufman gives K L Travel the edge in bringing the finest travel experience to its considerable clientele.  "I'm a matchmaker," she says, highlighting the importance of getting to know a client's needs and interests before making suggestions regarding international and domestic travel.  Leading an experienced, multilingual staff with a strong international orientation, Ms. Kaufman and K L Travel provide the type of customized, personal attention to detail appreciated by clients.

An active volunteer in her community, Ms. Kaufman has sharpened her management skills as past president of the Scarsdale Summer Music Theatre, an educational, non-profit performing arts program for young adults and served as director of the Westchester County American Field Service (AFS) international student exchange program.  She also served as president of the Scarsdale AFS Chapter for many years. A Certified Travel Counselor (CTC), Ms. Kaufman has authored a column for Travel Weekly, a leading industry periodical.  Ms. Kaufman is also a strong supporter of the cultural arts and is a Past President of the Board of Directors of the Westchester Philharmonic.

Ms. Kaufman is a graduate of Hunter College High School in New York City, the University of California at Berkeley and holds a Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York City.  Having raised her three, now-grown children, Ms. Kaufman and her husband, Martin, an attorney, continue to reside in their Scarsdale home since 1972.
